Product Description

A kit packaged exterior grade stone repair compound. Overfill of patch area, and grinding flush. The patch area resembles limestone texture. This product exhibits far superior color stability and strength in freeze thaw conditions.

Applications

  • Overfill and grind patching

Limitations
Use on dry stone. Use on oil, grease, and coatings free stone. Store product @ room temperature and limit humidity exposure. Do not store at or near freezing temperatures.

Installation

Surface Preparation and Use
Use gloves, wear eye protection, and avoid skin contact. When grinding cured product wear a dust mask. Substrate to be patched must be completely dry and dust free. Mix and apply the entire kit at one time. Avoid stressing the joint before complete cure of product. Mask areas which must be kept free of product. Clean uncured product from tools with toluol or xylol. (Use caution, these solvents are flammable. Ensure local ventilation.) Remove cured product mechanically.

Product can then be tinted (do not exceed 5% by weight powder colorant addition or stone dust.) Apply with trowel or other implement into and over the area to be repaired. Latex gloves may be used to form & mold material when curing.

Temperature Dependency
The adhesive, substrate, aggregate, and environment’s temperature will affect the working properties of the material. With all items at 700F (21.1 0C) the standard product will set up in approximately 15-20 minutes. Grinding may be performed in several hours. Full cure 48 hours

Availability

Packaging and Storage
The Last Patch™ Limestone is available in 6 oz.kit form & quart units. Standard kits and quarts are Buff, knife grade (like mortar consistency) product. Modification of standard kits for color matching requires at least 2 weeks from time of order.

Shelf life is printed on the product label. It is generally 6 months to one year from date of packaging if kept in original, unopened containers. Shelf life of Part B is reduced substantially once container is opened. Store at room temperature (well above freezing) and at a relative humidity below 75%.

Warranty

This product’s warranty is limited to replacement of defective material and freight charges to destination only. Bonstone Materials Corporation is not responsible for consequential damages.

Maintenance

This product is designed for application in areas inaccessible to maintenance procedures. Some powerful etching compounds, especially those containing hydrofluoric acid, may degrade the material.
